Event Details

The Oxford University Pan African Conference (OUPAC) is the flagship event of the Oxford University Africa Society (OUAS), and has become one of the largest gatherings of African Students in United Kingdom since its inception 3 years ago. Building on the success of the 2012 edition, this year’s conference will bring together hundreds of dynamic scholars, scientists, entrepreneurs, activists, and political leaders from around the world.

The theme for this year's conference is: “Towards a 21st Century African Renaissance: Sowing the Seeds of Success”, and is in recognition of Africa’s emerging new outlook as a promising hub for global influence. There is no doubt that Africa is experiencing a period of unprecedented socio-economic growth. However, it needs to make the necessary investments in governance, science and technological innovations, healthcare and infrastructure among others, in order to spread and sustain the benefits of this growth. We would like you to actively engage our discussants on these issues of critical importance to the 21st Century African Renaissance.

The conference will be held on Saturday 4th May 2013 at The Oxford Union, which is the world's most prestigious debating society, and with an unparalleled reputation for hosting international leaders and speakers.

Grab your tickets as soon as possible!!!
